The Journey to iSeduce

Word hard, play hard. That was the mantra repeated over and over by my friends and colleagues on Wall Street. I was an investment banker in the greatest city in the world, but I felt like the only guy who wasn’t playing hard. I bragged about living with a hot girl, but I never mentioned that she saw me as nothing more than a friend and roommate. I learned the intricacies of business and finance at school and at work, but one thing nobody ever teaches you is how to be successful in your non-work life. In fact I didn’t even think being successful with women was something you could learn. When my roommate bought me the New York Times bestselling book, The Game, for my birthday, I was skeptical. “Read it. Who knows it could change your luck with women,” she said. The book was the autobiographical story of Neil Strauss, and his transformation into the legendary pickup artist, Style. I finished it in a day, and my life hasn’t been the same since.

I wanted to be like the pickup artists in the book. I changed my wardrobe, my posture, and even the way I spoke. I made up stories to tell women, and kept track of everything I did. I was a banker, so naturally, I had a spreadsheet of all my work. Success came like a tornado and blew me away. I was sleeping with the hottest girls from work, bars and even my apartment building. My friends and colleagues were in awe. So was I.

At first, I used routines from different pickup artists like Style and his teacher, Mystery. I quickly learned that the routines that had worked for them really didn’t jive with my personality. I started coming up with my own pickup routines, using adventurous stories from my own life. I would experiment, and slowly, I started replacing their routines with my own. My spreadsheet was populated with new, more powerful routines that were mine! Now I was attracting girls, and they liked me for who I was — not because I spit someone else’s lines to impress them.

A few years into my journey, during the Toronto Film Festival, I spotted Jessica Alba sitting with a friend at a local lounge. It was time to flex my seduction muscles. I walked up to the table and started spewing the routines I had used successfully so many times before. After a few minutes, I was sitting at their table getting her number. “Let the good times roll,” I thought.

The amount of hard work and failure I had to overcome to get to that point was astounding. Imagine being in the middle of a conversation with a beautiful women who’s just looking for a reason not to sleep with you when your mind goes blank. I used to carry around a piece of paper for reference to prevent these situations. That little scrap of paper was my wingman. When I got my iPhone, I thought it would be awesome if I could just use the phone to replace my spreadsheet so I didn’t have to look like a loser reading a paper in a dimly lit bar. That’s when I built iSeduce for the iPhone. Not only can I refer to my existing routines, but I can add anything new that comes to mind as well.

You can make iSeduce your wingman too. Check it out. Unleash the seduction artist in you. Meanwhile, I’m going to go kick my roommate out of my bed.
